Tribal Butterfly Tattoos – Here’s My Story!

Saturday, April 3rd, 2010

Hey Kara here…if you have been struggling to find the very best tribal butterfly tattoos, I’m glad you found my blog and I strongly suggest you keep reading…because hopefully you won’t make the same mistakes like me. Click here to see what finally helped me the most in my tattoo search.

This is my tattoo story…

I was only 19 and in my second year of college at Texas A&M…Two of my girlfriends just got tribal tattoos and were trying to talk me into getting one. I thought about getting a tattoo before but never really did anything about it. I didn’t know where to go for one and I had no idea what to get.

After about 3 weeks of them bugging me, my friend Michelle dragged me out to a tattoo studio just to check it out. There were so many great tattoo patterns and designs that I really had no idea what I wanted.

I was on my way out the door and then I saw a picture of a girl with a really cool tribal dragon tattoo. Something inside was telling me to get it. So I did and I regretted it ever since. I totally remember waking up one morning several days later looking in the mirror and almost throwing up. What had I done???

Hopefully, if you are reading this, you won’t make the same mistake I did…Don’t get me wrong. Getting a tattoo is not a mistake. A tribal dragon tattoo is a beautiful tattoo but not on me. People ask me so why did you get it? I just laugh. Any hoo…

I now own 2 more tattoos that I just love. One is a cherry blossom tattoo-you can see it in my picture-that goes all the way down my lower back and the other is a tribal butterfly tattoo that is in a pretty special place. I still have my dragon tattoo but I don’t show many people.

I was lucky enough to get both of my new tattoos after reading a little known book called Tattoos For Women by Julie Villani, a tattoo enthusiast and expert.  I just wish I had heard of her earlier.  Click here to see what I’m talking about.

Here is why her book is so important if you are thinking about getting a tattoo!  Julie teaches you the RIGHT way to get a tattoo and how to pick one with total confidence.  Did you know there is even a way to TEST DRIVE a tattoo?  I had no idea.  I definitely suggest everyone doing this so you know you are getting the right one.  But did you also know that some people just should not get a tattoo at all or avoid certain areas of the body entirely?  She mentions what to look for in a tattoo parlor, all the health risks involved and even the best time of year to get a tattoo so it looks absolutely crazy hot!!!  She talks about all of this and so much more.  I want you to have an amazing tribal butterfly tattoo.  Don’t make the same mistakes I did.  It’s just not worth it.

Take care. Kara.

Tribal Dragon Tattoos – Tread with Caution!

Tuesday, March 30th, 2010

I’m sure there are a lot of worthy tribal dragon tattoos but the one I got was not to be.  I have no idea why I got it in the first place.  No, I wasn’t drunk as I’ve been accused by my friends for so long now.

Besides, the place I went to wouldn’t allow it.  You had to be completely sober.  Simply put, it was my first time getting ink done  and that is my excuse.  I should have put more thought into it.  I would do anything to replace it with just about any other form of tribal art tattoos.  I would even rather have a fairy or celebrity tattoo.

Too late for me.  I have to live with it.  I’m reminded of it everyday when I look in the mirror and see my lower back.  I’ve come to stand it at least but I also found meaning in my tribal dragon tattoo.  For me, it means that you can’t be impatient if you want something worth getting.  You have to be patient but also think with your head and not so much your heart.

I would rather now have got a lower back tribal butterfly tattoo instead of the dragon.

Even if you are looking for tribal butterfly tattoos and you have one picked out, stop for a minute and really think about what you are doing.  And once you have made up your mind that this is what you want, give it another week before taking action and actually doing it.  I always do this now whether it is a tattoo or something else.  Trust me, you don’t want a tribal dragon tattoo staring at you for the rest of your life.

Take care.  Kara.
